Termite Attack in Kedron!

Just last week we were called to to Kedron for one of the worst termite attacks we've seen all year. Our tech had reached the front door when he found the first of many fat mud leads heading into the Kedron Queenslander. Upon inspecting, our technician noted a severe termite infestation throughout the sub floor and internal timbers including the door frames, skirting boards and window frame. The termites had worked their way up from the sub floor through the frame timbers right up into the roof void beams. In the photo below you can see the some of the termite mud leads our technician found in the sub floor.

The termite attack was so severe our tech could hear them chattering away to each other from behind the wall as he tapped (see our Facebook page for the full video!). Unfortunately, this was one of those stories we hear all too often, the house was an investment property so the owner wanted to cut costs so never had the home inspected for termites, the tenant didn't know about termites and never thought to look for them and years went by. Now the home is in dire need of close to $10,000 in repairs - all of which could have been avoided with an annual termite inspection and up to date termite management program.

A preventative chemical barrier could save you thousands in treatments and repairs when termites come a knocking. Termite attacks are stressful and time consuming so having a preventative chemical barrier in place will not only save you money it will save you time, effort and stress.

So whether your property is your home or a rental investment there should always be space in your budget for termite protection and annual inspections because termites are simply a fact of life in south-east Queensland.

Don't wait until it's too late, call Results Home Services now on 3823 2500 and speak to our friendly team about arranging a termite inspection for your property now. It's easy! The best news is we offer early mornings, late afternoons and Saturday appointments to fit in with your busy schedule.
