How Regular Should You Be Getting A Termite Inspection?

Updated: Nov 15, 2021

Has it been over a year since your last termite inspection? Did you know the current Australian Standards (updated in 2017) now recommend at least 6 monthly termite inspections unless you have a current termite management system in place (chemical barrier and/or Sentricon Always Active baiting system).

The reason the Australian Standards recommend a regular termite inspection by a licensed timber pest inspector is so any termite activity (new or old) can be detected. White Ants are a huge problem in Brisbane and we have been flat out preparing termite treatments for home owners across the Brisbane northside, south, bayside and Logan areas.

Our termite inspections take up to 2 hours and our qualified technician will inspect your surrounding gardens, yard, external perimeter, sub floor, roof void and internal walls. We use our thermal imaging camera and moisture meter to not only detect termites but also things like leaks and areas of high moisture that will attract white ants to your home.

We issue a 21 easy to read report with all of our technician's findings and recommendations. The report is detailed but very easy to follow. We also always follow up the report with a phone call to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

If you don't have a current termite barrier around your home, it is essential you keep up to date with regular inspections because in Brisbane it's not a matter of if but when and it's our job to keep that from happening.
